MJR Power & Automation Completes Successful Installation, Termination & Testing of over 2000 meters of Power, Communication & Fibre cables on board the MPI Resolution
MJR Power & Automation were contracted by Van Oord for the power and control cable upgrade of the Kongsberg IAS project. The scope of work included the removal, supply, installation and testing of over 2000 metres of new marine power, ethernet and fibre optic cables.
During the vessels dry dock in Rotterdam, MJR Power & Automation’s installation team carried out the site works in 2 weeks including the supply, installation and testing of:
- 900 meters of CAT5 Cable
- 350 meters of Fibre Optic Cable, spliced, terminated & OTDR Tested
- Over 800 meters of Power cables
- Cable Containment with old transits re-packed & new transits installed
