The project included various electric and hydraulic constant tension winches, showcasing expertise in both ABB ACS 800 Electric Drive and Hydraulic Drive technologies.

MJR Power & Automation successfully completed the design and installation of a state-of-the-art marine CCTV system for the UK's largest ferry operator. Implemented on four ferries across Scottish and Northern English yards, the project adhered to the planned 2020/21 dry docking schedule, achieving on-time and within-budget handovers.

Heortnesse Life Extension Project

In 2019, MJR Power & Automation, awarded by A&P group, completed a comprehensive upgrade, covering Electrical Power, Propulsion, Dredging, and Integrated Control Systems. The turnkey project achieved Lloyds Register of Shipping design approval in 2019, with system build and FAT conducted in early 2020 at MJR's Teesside facility.

MJR Power & Automation replaced outdated Terasaki MCCBs and ACBs with ABB marine-certified EMAX2 and XT range on twelve CalMac ferries. The retrofit, part of a resilience program, was completed during scheduled dockings.

MJR Power & Automation efficiently replaced Ballast, Freshwater, Fuel & Lube Oil, Tank Level Gauging, and Control System. With 700+ I/O points, it provides remote tank gauging, valve control, automatic heeling, and integrates seamlessly with MJR's MAP-OE™, ensuring Lloyds Register of Shipping-approved reliability.
